The skates and the floor is great for skating but the music selection or dj is terrible. It would be great if there was more of today's hip hop, r&b, and rap mixed in the music flow.
The staff is cordial and nice. The water fountain should be shut down for good. Prices for beverages are reasonable.
For skating rings they have been around since I was a little kid and the inside still looks about the same. Still fun.
Frye's is pretty decent if you like skating for a couple hours then leaving. If you expect anymore than that, then you may not have a good time. It's pretty dirty, the staff are rude and the locals basically run the place. Food and drink is expensive, but now a days I kind of expect that. It's also expensive to skate if you don't go on one of their deal days. Could be a lot worse, but it's not very fun for anyone above the age of 15. I guess it's meant to be a teen spot, though.
If there was a zero star selection my thumbs would be all over it. The worst service I have seen in my entire life. The manager is a liar and thief. The place smells the way their food tastes. I hit the jackpot 5 times and when the ticket machine broke the worker was looking at it and didn't do anything about it. Instead of getting 600 tickets I got 84! The staff are demons. And I also mean that literally. The man at the dice game rolled 6 5 times in a row. It seemed as if he did it on purpose. The lady at the front swiped my money before I even set it down. The worker there gets mad when someone hits the jackpot. Also my friend was skating during the so called partner skate and and old man who was an employee sped down the rink so he could tell at him and humiliate him in front of many people. The staff always treats the customers like their fries. They put them under an uncomfortable light of shame and embarrassment. Not to mention their is black mold, no exaggeration coming out of the faucet in the water fountain. And if you buy water at the concessions stand it is pink and tastes like metal. Also once my friend got a chuchy cheeses token from the token machine. I guess they rob mice too. Also the bathroom is almost always filled with water and there is pee everywhere. There is mold everywhere.
