Aweful experience. Went back for 6 wk check after my son Isaac was born, dr left before my appt time saying I was late. I was there 5 minutes EARLY. Then i rescheduled my pap a few months later because my son ended up hospitalized, had to get labs done. Dr left ten minutes before I was scheduled to show up, because the office rescheduled with my VOICE MAIL and I couldn't leave work earlier. So it left me with nurses to read my labs, then the dr dismissed me saying I was rude. I HAD called office manager, but she had promised me dr would be present (it was an hour drive from my work.)
I really wanted to like this office since it got so many great reviews from friends. However, I've not had the best experience with them. I've been to both offices and cringe every time I have to go. I've never in my life heard of an office not taking a urine specimen at all during pregnancy. For one, it doesn't matter if you're the healthiest person ever. Urine is SO important in pregnancy! Some people may have something wrong and don't know because they have no symptoms, sugar levels can be dangerous during pregnancy if they are too high -there is also bacteria that can harm momma and baby. But again, you wouldn't know if you don't check the urine at every check up. Two, they waited until I was beyond 20 weeks before they decided to say anything about my low thyroid and how it could harm my unborn baby. If this was something so "dangerous" as they claimed, why did they wait so long to say anything about it? Why were they not monitoring it this entire time? Plan on going to the Davidson location? Forget about it, I've had to wait over three hours for my appointments on multiple occasions. They can't keep schedule locations together, recently they tried to schedule me in both locations, on the same day, only a few minutes apart. I feel like I have missed important test and procedures because I am just a "number" and are just trying to shuffle me in and out the door as quickly as possible. Some of the doctors have poor bedside manners and don't seem to care about you at all. I've been belittled by some of the doctors for simply asking questions to things that I was concerned about. Trying to reschedule appointments can be daunting, and sometimes it took forever to hear back from anyone sometimes it wasn't until the next business day. Yes, I understand that they are busy. However, I feel like there should be better guidelines on contact with patients. Overall, I just feel like this office is very incompetent for the amount of patients they see daily. I do not recommend this place.
Thought I would like this office until the doctor addressed my request for a lighter work duty note to avoid hard physical labor work concerns as "nothing she could do" ... I was disappointed at how she was telling me how "legally" I should be able to lift, carry, pull, or push up to 30lbs for 8hrs non stop and to try to get my employer to adjust the work load... . ...Despite me addressing the pain and discomfort I was having everyday from doing so....didn't feel my safety and best interest was being addressed correctly...knew this wasn't somewhere I wanted to continue to go to receive "care"
The receptionists and office manager are rude and incompetent. They have no problem embarrassing a client in front of the entire waiting room for their own amusement. The inner departments do not communicate with each other. I was given three different answers to the same insurance question each time I called. The front office staff could care less about a person's actual health. I will never go back.
Customers service is seriously lacking! I have called numerous times and waited an extremely long time for returned calls...if any! When u already feel like junk m have a baby to take care of, it would be nice to get help when u ask for it. They are supposed to help..right!??
