As we stood there, completely dumbfounded by her rudeness, the young man apologized and asked if he could further help us.
After waiting 20+ minutes (and the young man calling multiple times while apologizing profusely for the wait) a “manager” came over. The manager looked at the rug and found a tag, stating it was $450. When we pointed out we had found an identical, undamaged rug further down the rack for $399 while waiting, she promptly stated “tough luck, can’t do anything about it,” turned her back to us and quickly walked away.
While he did what he could (and we were planning to probably purchase another rug beside it), there’s no way my family will EVER step back into an establishment that would allow that caliber of person to be in any position of management. What an absolute disgrace.
After 30 min of picking out a handful of items, I used the restroom before buying them. I left them right outside the bathroom because the sign specifically asks you to not bring merchandise into the bathroom. One min later I walk out and they're gone. I immediately ask a few employees about it and one of them radios all of the employees to ask, no one responds. I'm totally fuming because I really spent some time deciding on the items, and was particularly excited about a bathing suit that was very flattering. Of course they didn't have these same items when I went to go look for them again, or they only had a different color or size. I picked a couple of things out again and when to check out. I told the person at the register about it and she immediately knew what I was talking about and went and retrieved about 2/3 of my items from who knows where. And then she told me that you can't leave items outside the bathroom, you have to actually give them to an employee to hold (???). Whatever, I got the bathing suit and a few other items that I liked so it wasn't a 100% bad experience...
TL;DR: I left my items I was about to purchase outside the restroom (as the sign mandated), came out and they were gone. Incompetent employees.
My little family and I went into this store at 7:30pm and were looking at rugs. We were interested in a pretty, but badly stained rug. A nice young man came over to help and called for the store manager to address the stained rug.
Love love love. Tjmaxx Customer service was great.
Two entrances - one through outside parking lot, one inside the mall. Expansive selections of mens coats, athletic accessories, home decor, etc. Lots of other clothing & accessory sections. Staff is helpful, but lets you shop in peace. Checkout registers on HomeGoods side.
I love the gourmet foods you can get at a good price.
